The first time Jon visited the Meeker Ranch (northeast of Custer) was a beautiful snowy day in December. “Sentinels” depicts a couple of stately Ponderosa Pines growing out of solid rock standing guard over the homestead. This is Jon’s fifth painting from the Meeker Ranch, and 15% of his print sales will go toward historic preservation through the Black Hills Historic Preservation Trust.
