Nothing is more delightful on a hot summer day than homemade ice cream. The Keck family of Rapid City remembers taking turns cranking this ice cream maker on the back porch, anticipating how good it would taste. The work and the wait made it taste even better. This painting was a commission for their parents, whose back porch was the gathering place for many ice cream related family events.
