Jon spent three very cold snowy days in central Pennsylvania in January 1997. This was delightful because it was exactly the kind of weather he was looking for to gather material for his paintings. On the fourth day, the sun came out, and everything looked totally different. “ After the Storm” was a result of this fourth day.
