ELEAZAR EVANGELISTA

Eleazar was born and raised in South Dakota. As a descendant of the Sioux Nation, her mother instilled a deep love and wonder for the landscapes of the Midwest. As an artist herself, she taught Eleazar to appreciate nature and its beautiful complexity. Painting became Eleazar's way of better understanding the world. She believes, "As a Native to South Dakota I want to share with others the importance and comfort I have found in the beautiful landscapes that have surrounded me all my life."
