JK Dooley Original Watercolors

I’ve always created art, in some form or fashion. Initially, my interest was in black and white photography.  I went on to pencil drawings, and then moved into color, using colored pencils. Painting was the next logical step, again attempting to reproduce the colors and images I loved, on paper. After losing the battle with oils, acrylics and pastels. I tried  watercolor. It came quite naturally to me, with no lessons and no frustration.  A true gift from God.

I was just getting into the use of color when I attended my first rodeo, a small town 4th of July event in the White Mountains of Arizona. I was amazed at the colors of the chaps, leather, and denim, and the sparkly silver, gold and copper.  I was hooked, and experimented with watercolors and different papers until I achieved the desired effect.  I hope you enjoy my watercolors and my new FABRICated creations.
