In the heart of Spearfish Canyon near the access area of Roughlock Falls is a little picnic table that sits quietly among the autumn colors of yellow, orange, and red. The Falls was a place where traveling pioneers would lower their wagons into the canyon and secure one rear wheel to the back of the wagon, known as roughlocking the wheels to keep the wagons from rolling away. One of the most iconic waterfalls in the Black Hills, Jon captured this tranquil setting "Above the Falls."
