People driving between Sturgis and Spearfish on I-90 always enjoy seeing the old stone buildings known as the Anderson (Frawley) Ranch. Built in 1883, the sandstone buildings include a two-story farmhouse which sits above the springhouse, bunkhouse, and barn. The spring maintains a 40-degree temperature which led James Anderson, a Danish immigrant to settle here and build the dairy farm that was very successful in it's time. The empty corrals and loading chute are reminiscent of days gone by.
