“Preserving the Past” was painted by Jon in 2012 of the Neo-Colonial Revival Booth House. D.C. Booth built the house in 1905 as a home for himself and his family.[6] The wooden house was built on a rusticated sandstone foundation. The house has been preserved, and tours are offered to visitors. Jon also painted the “D.C. Booth House” to showcase the architecture of the Spearfish National Fish Hatchery.
